Built in the 16th century as a convent of the Hieronymite friars, in 1850, after the disentailment of Mendizabal, it passed into private hands. The different owners, were conditioning it until today, which remains in perfect conditions of maintenance and prepared for the celebration of all kinds of events, such as weddings, baptisms, communions, business lunches and conferences.
In San Juan del Hornillo, the prestigious Pura Raza Española horses of D. Juan Manuel Urquijo y Novales, Conde de Odiel, are bred. His heirs, faithful to their principles, maintain the Estirpe Cartujana cattle ranch with the purity and beauty of its historical origins.
